Echandia wins RoPax conversion deal

Marine battery system supplier, Echandia, has won a deal with Öresundslinjen for the conversion of a RoPax ferry to full electrical operation

Operating on the Helsingør – Helsingborg route between Denmark and Sweden, M/S Hamlet traverses the Öresund strait up to 8,000 times a year.

The battery system has a minimum operational lifespan of ten years and can be recharged at either port in as little as 11 minutes.
