Hagland’s new self-discharging coaster to be hybrid

Hagland's 5,000 dwt self-discharging bulk carrier will be capable of making zero-emission port calls as well as zero-emission discharging of the transported bulk cargo where shore power connections are not available.

Dutch maritime energy storage solutions provider EST-Floattech has been contracted by system integrator Hoogendijk Electric to design and deliver the complete battery system for the third Hybrid Coaster for Hagland.
