Nexans launches Electra to boost offshore electrification capacity

Nexans has marked a key milestone in the construction of its next-generation cable laying vessel, Nexans Electra, following the successful launch of the vessel hull from the covered dock hall at Ulstein Verft, Norway, on 13 November 2025.

The launch moves the project into its next phase, with commissioning and testing now set to continue at the outfitting quay ahead of final sea trials.
