Arkitech expands cruise efficiency rollout

Average fuel consumption has been cut by one tonne per vessel per day across twelve MSC Cruises ships using Arkitech’s AI-powered HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) optimisation platform, according to results released by the Dutch maritime software company

According to the company, the technology is delivering average annual HVAC energy savings of 1,600 MWh per vessel, equivalent to around 1,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions avoided per ship each year.
