First low-pressure EGR for bulk carrier

The low-pressure EGR system was fitted to a Mitsubishi 6UEC45LSE-Eco-B2 two-stroke diesel engine

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Mitsubishi Kakoki Kaisha have installed the first low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system for a two-stroke diesel engine, onboard a 34,000dwt bulk carrier built by The Hakodate Dock Co.
