Lloyd’s Register, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and Hyundai Heavy Industries are teaming up to develop an advanced hybrid propulsion system for LNG carriers, integrating solid oxide fuel cell technology

The agreement, announced at Nor-Shipping 2025, aims to create a highly efficient, low-emissions propulsion solution for 174,000 cubic metre LNG carriers.
