Organisers are pleased to announce that Lars Robert Pedersen, deputy secretary general, BIMCO and Mark Bell, general manager, SGMF, will share the chairing duties at this year’s Conference onboard the Viking Mariella. Both will bring a wealth of knowledge that will enhance delegate’s participation at the event.
Taking place onboard the world's first Methanol fuel cell powered vessel called the Viking Mariella, this year’s Conference will look at the use of low flash point fuels as a maritime fuel, including take up and feedback by operators from different sectors and will also explore the development and use of alternative fuels. Delegates will learn first-hand from operators on the viability and reliability of LNG, low flash point and alternative fuels together and will learn about design considerations for alternative fuels and retrofitting options.
With two industry experts confirmed to chair the ground breaking GFS Conference, delegates will benefit from their input as they will have the knowledge to ask the pertinent questions of presenters and panellists.
The Gas Fuelled Ships Conference is the only event to include technical visits and, as ever, this year’s Conference with its unique technical visits of the fuel cells in situ on the Viking Mariella, another first for the GFS Conference.
Delegate will benefit from two nights’ accommodation onboard the Viking Mariella, two breakfasts, three lunches and two dinners, when joining the Conference. Places at the Conference will be limited so delegates are advised to book early to guarantee their place.
