Delegates will have the opportunity to see working fuel cells in situ on the Viking Mariella and to learn about the e4ships project Pa-X-ell from Gerhard Untiedt, Head of Section, Energy & Environment, Meyer Werft, the project managers.

Meyer Werft are the project managers/technical participation on project Pa-X-ell: testing high-temperature PEM fuel cells on passenger vessels that will provide highly efficient cogeneration (CHP) on board ships. The results of the project have gone into the international regulation development to enable the use of alternative fuels and fuel cells in international shipping in the future. The project is funded by the German government’s National Innovation Program Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology.

Furthermore, Viking Line’s Technical Manager, Joacim Westerlund, will be presenting feedback on the use of the fuel cell on the Viking Mariella. Delegates will therefore learn what the prospects are for future use of fuel cells as part of the mix of future fuels and hybridisation.

Places at the Conference will be limited, the early bird rate will end soon – book now to save nearly €400!
