Huisman produces 350t capacity 3D printed crane hooks, targets larger sizes

Huisman's Daniel Pillek: "After 5 years of research, development and testing of 3D printed products, we have gained the necessary expertise to use this innovative method for the production of high quality crane hooks"

Huisman has announced that four 1,700kg 3D printed offshore crane hooks have successfully passed 350mt load tests under the supervision of certification authority Lloyd''s Register (LR). The crane hooks were manufactured using the ‘Wire & Arc Additive Manufacturing’ (WAAM) 3D printing technique.
