Sunil Krishnakumar, Senior Technical Manager, International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), will be evaluating how owners and operators are preparing their ships to meet the EEXI and CII requirements at Propulsion & Future Fuels, Le Méridien Hamburg, 2-4 November 2021.

Sunil is the ICS lead providing subject matter expertise on marine fuels, air emissions, fire safety and other technical matters.

Sunil has led ICS work on sulphur issues, taking an active part in the development of IMO guidance on 2020 implementation.

Sunil is also involved in the IMO work on short term GHG reduction measures, and Lifecycle Analysis and safety of marine fuels. He has led ICS work on the development of various industry guidance documents such as the Guidance to Shipping Companies and Crews on Preparing for Compliance with the 2020 ‘Global Sulphur Cap’ and the Engine Room Procedures Guide.

Join Sunil in session 1 Energy Efficiency Existing ship Index (EEXI) where he will be discussing meeting the IMO GHG targets through EEXI and CII from the Shipowners’ perspective. In the race to be compliant by the end of the year 2022 Sunil will identify targets, challenges and available pathways.
