Low feed rates for minimal wear

After more than 8,000 hours with Mobilgard 560 VS at feed rates down to 0.45g/kWh, this Hyundai-MAN B&W 12K98MC engine’s pistons and piston rings were free from deposits and exhibited negligible wear.

ExxonMobil’s Mobilgard 560 VS was found to have minimised wear and deposits in a container ship’s main engine, despite operating under conditions that included running at very low cylinder oil feed rates.
