The CIC showed that cleanliness of the main engine and engine room was a particular problem for ships over 20 years old

Preliminary results of the Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Propulsion and Auxiliary Machinery resulted in 68 ships being detained over a three month period, according to the Paris MoU on Port State Control.
