METIS adds new EU ETS function
METIS has added new functionality to its emissions management tool to help owners and operators make best use of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme
Alongside capturing and reporting emissions data, METIS allows users to establish the value of equivalent allowances based on current EU carbon market rates.
As well as determining the number of allowances required, METIS will help to assign costs to the charterer or the manager based on the ‘polluter pays’ principle.
