Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) and Kinetics have signed an MoU to develop what they call the world’s first electrified floating ship data centre platform.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on the design, construction and deployment of a state-of-the-art data centre hosted on a retrofitted vessel. The goal is to meet surging global demand for digital infrastructure while minimising environmental impact.
