OFFSHORE ELECTROLYSER NEXT STEP IN GERMANY’S “HYDROGEN REPUBLIC”

Siemens Energy hopes to obtain funding from Germany's EUR 700 million “Hydrogen Republic” schemes for its offshore electrolyser development project.

The development of a 14MW offshore wind turbine with an integrated electrolyser for hydrogen production is one of three key projects presented on 13 January by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research as a result of its “Hydrogen Republic of Germany” ideas competition.
