AI deal reshapes ship management

Anglo-Eastern Ship Management has struck a deal with Orca AI that will see the ship manager support installation of the company’s situational-awareness platform across its vast, multi-client fleet

It is the first time a major manager has formally backed AI-assisted navigation, a sign that the technology is edging from early trials into mainstream operations.

The deal folds Orca AI’s SeaPod digital watchkeeper and FleetView monitoring dashboard into Anglo-Eastern’s technical offering, meaing less guesswork on the bridge for the firm’s 750+ vessels.
