PPR 9 considered amendments to NOx Technical Code

The PPR sub-committee has agreed to develop draft guidelines to permit the use of multiple engine operational profiles, The use of multiple EOPs can be applied to enable the switch between different fuel types on dual fuel engines.

The IMO Sub-Committee on Pollution Prevention and Response (PPR) held its 9th session virtually from 4-8 April and considered amendments to MARPOL Annex VI and the NOx Technical Code for permitting the use of multiple engine operational profiles as a means of managing NOx emissions performance.
