Ulstein opts for Brunvoll propulsion package for new cable-layer
Brunvoll has been chosen as the supplier of a complete propulsion and manoeuvring system for what has been described as the most “technologically-advanced” cable-layer vessel. The new DP3 cable laying vessel has been ordered at Ulstein Verft AS by Nexans Marine Operations AS. The next-generation newbuilding is intended to replace Nexans’ existing Nexans Aurora.

WinGD collaborates with KSS Line for NH3-fuelled gas carriers
WinGD has signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea-based gas and petrochemicals transportation specialist KSS Line to explore the use of X-DF-A engines for future newbuild projects. The companies will focus on 52cm- and 62cm-bore versions of the dual-fuel ammonia engines, suitable for midsize and very large gas carriers (VLGC).
