Mureloil hybrid diesel-electric chemical tanker 'Bahia Beatriz' being launched

Schottel has been chosen to supply the propulsion package for an 8,000 DWT hybrid chemical tanker built by Astilleros de Murueta for Bilbao-based owner Mureloil

The Bahía Beatriz, launched in February 2026, will operate alongside its sister ship Bahía Candela, effectively doubling the company’s capacity to transport biofuels and methanol.
