ABS is teaming up with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries to study the feasibility of a nuclear-powered electric propulsion system for container ships

The project will focus on the conceptual design of a system tailored to a 16,000 teu container vessel, examining how nuclear energy could support next-generation maritime propulsion.
