Monza wind-assisted LNG tanker

The LR2 tanker Monza has been delivered to Union Maritime, marking the third vessel in the company’s newbuild programme equipped with rigid wind sail technology designed to cut fuel consumption and emissions

Built by Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, the vessel features two 37.5-metre WindWings developed by BAR Technologies, making the series the world’s first dual-fuelled LR2 tanker fleet combining LNG propulsion with wind-assisted technology.
