Wind-assisted propulsion have taken a decisive step toward the shipping mainstream with the installion of bound4blue’s eSAIL systems on Maersk Tankers vessels, a move the company says reflects growing confidence in wind power for even the most complex ship types

bound4blue chief executive and co-founder José Miguel Bermúdez described the milestone as ‘a watershed moment’ for an industry under pressure to cut emissions while remaining commercially viable.
