The electrical and instrumentation specialist has signed an agreement with Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard (ASRY) to offer its services from the yard in the Arabian Gulf.
The service agreement is part of Project Jupiter, ASRY’s initiative aimed at turning the yard into a “leading hub of specialised on-site contractors”. Relay Engineering will serve the yard’s main clientele of navy vessels, jack-up rigs and barges.
Nils Kristian Berge, CEO of ASRY said: “With Relay Engineering, we take another step to providing the most comprehensive range of repair and maintenance services to our customers. Our goal of being the region’s one-stop shop for maritime maintenance is drawing closer.”
Magdy Moustafa, procurement & contracts general manager at ASRY added: “The agreement is a good sign that we are continuing to move on the right track ensuring presence of more and more specialized service providers in the yard on long-term basis under Project Jupiter”.
Under Project Jupiter, ASRY has brought several leading contractors to Manama, including Wilhelmsen Ship Services, ABB, MAN Diesel & Turbo, Goltens and many others.
