Hafnia orders orders Wärtsilä propulsion retrofits for tankers

Hafnia, the Singapore-headquartered tanker operator, has awarded Wärtsilä the contract to supply propulsion solutions for ten oil and chemical tankers. 

The order was booked by Wärtsilä in October 2023. The Wärtsilä equipment is scheduled for delivery commencing in 2024, and the retrofitting will take place over a two year period.

The EnergoFlow and EnergoProFin solutions arrangement will ensure an optimised waterflow over and after the propeller, thereby improving propulsion efficiency considerably.
