Schottel propulsion and leadership transition underline commitment to naval and commercial markets

The new Polish Navy rescue vessel Ratownik, now under construction at PGZ Stocznia Wojenna, will be equipped with a complete propulsion package supplied by German propulsion specialist Schottel.

The vessel (pictured) is intended to replace existing Polish Navy rescue units and will markedly enhance submarine crew rescue capabilities while also strengthening the protection of subsea infrastructure in the Baltic Sea. Launch is planned for 2027, with delivery to the Navy scheduled for 2029.
