Shell to provide renewable biofuel for Maersk voyage

A Maersk Triple-E containership, similar to the vessel pictured, will sail from Rotterdam to Shanghai on biofuel blends alone in a trial.

Integrated transport and logistics company A.P. Møller - Mærsk has partnered with Shell in the world’s largest maritime biofuel pilot, fuelling a large triple-E container vessel from Rotterdam to Shanghai and back on biofuel blends.
