$85m investment to expand yard capacity at Ancona

Fincantieri has signed an agreement to develop the port of Ancona with the Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea (ADSP).

The agreement will lead to an investment of €80 million (US$85.8 million) to support the expansion of the port’s construction piers and dry dock, as well as its current technological and lifting infrastructure to enable the construction of longer and heavier ships, both in the cruise and merchant sector.

Fincantieri has agreed to invest US$42.9m to develop shipbuilding at the port of Ancona. The state has awarded the company a 40 year state concession.
