A bespoke type of cargo-orientated, ro-pax ferry has been ordered for the re-tonnaging of a route linking China with Japan. The 20,000gt newbuild booked at CMI Jinling Weihai will combine a modest capacity for less than 200 passengers with a freight intake corresponding to 334 teu containers.
