Conference sponsor, TGE Marine Gas Engineering GmbH, has recently been a key enabler of a technological leap for Höegh Autoliners.
The shipping line revolutionised maritime transport with its Aurora Class vessels, marking significant progress toward sustainable deep-sea shipping. The Pure Car and Truck Carriers (PCTCs) are designed to be the largest and most environmentally friendly in their class. Notably, the final four ships in this 12-vessel series are set to operate on sustainable ammonia, a zero-carbon fuel, upon their delivery in 2027.
TGE Marine Gas Engineering GmbH’s Head of Innovation & Development, Andreas Hambücker will join the key session on Ammonia at the Propulsion and Future Fuels conference in Hamburg from 25-27 November to discuss the part the company have played in this and other vessel transitions.
TGE Marine’s expertise in designing and engineering maritime gas systems has made them a global leader in gas containment and fuel supply technologies. Andreas Hambücker brings over 29 years of specialised experience in liquefied gas storage and transport projects. His expertise spans mechanical equipment, process engineering for a wide range of gases and applications, and the coordination of complex engineering efforts.
Throughout his career, Andreas has played key roles in the execution of three major European LNG regasification terminal projects, serving as Project Engineer, Project Engineering Manager, and Commissioning Engineer. From 2013 to 2016, he led engineering efforts for marine fuel gas supply systems, collaborating closely with shipowners, engine manufacturers, and shipyards.
Since 2017, Andreas has served as Head of Innovation & Development at TGE Marine, where he drives technical advancements in LNG, LPG, and alternative marine fuel solutions. TGE Marine is a global leader in the design and construction of cargo handling systems for liquefied cryogenic gases and a pioneer in LNG bunkering and LNG-to-power technologies.
Andreas works closely with several industry organisations and bodies to ensure that the innovations within the industry are forging the way for a sustainable and safety future.
