Catalina Express invests in high-speed, low-emission ferry with Rolls-Royce power

Rolls-Royce has been chosen by Catalina Express of San Pedro, California, to supply the propulsion system for the operator’s forthcoming high-capacity ferry.

The 42-metre vessel, designed to carry 500 passengers, will be the largest in the fleet and will be powered by four mtu 12V4000 M65L engines delivering a combined output of more than 7,463 kW.
