Construction underway on Australian LNG-powered ferry

The Spirit of Tasmania IV will serve the Bass Strait crossing between Geelong, Victoria, and Devonport, Tasmania after it is delivered in late 2023.

Construction of an LNG-powered car and passenger ferry is underway at Rauma Marine Constructions (RMC), Finland. The Spirit of Tasmania IV is destined for the crossing between mainland Australia and Tasmania.
