Dutch operator bolsters short sea fleet

Vigorous Dutch reinvestment and development of short-sea fleet capacity has found further expression in a domestic contract for two notably low-consumption dry cargo vessels of 3,700dwt.

The 88m newbuild pair has been ordered by the Groningen-domiciled Longship Group from GS Yard in nearby Waterhuizen under a deal entailing especially prompt deliveries this year.
