Elcome secures major retrofit deal

Elcome’s scope of supply centres on modern PLC-based control systems for Alfa Laval OL/OC boiler control systems, updated HMIs, SCADA integration and burner management system

Elcome International has inked a landmark deal with a Middle East-based shipowner to retrofit boiler control systems on ten crude tankers and product carriers

The agreement is one of Elcome’s most extensive retrofit programmes to date, and involves replacing outdated Alfa Laval Mission/ALTS boiler control systems, originally installed in 2012 with UNISAB II controllers, with Elcome’s modern ELSYS PLC-based systems.

The upgrades include new human-machine interfaces, SCADA integration and a burner management system, along with secure remote connectivity for real-time diagnostics and support.
