CSSC Wärtsilä Engine (Shanghai) Co (CWEC) will deliver the nine-cylinder Wärtsilä Auxpac 32 generators to the yard beginning in mid-2017. The order follows a similar deal for eight new CSCL vessels in March, and for a total of 16 new vessels ordered by China Ocean Shipping Group (COSCO) last year.

The Wärtsilä Auxpac 32 is the engine maker’s most powerful auxiliary generator set and is designed primarily for large container vessels with an auxiliary power need of from 2500kWe to 4500kWe per generating set.
