Nick Edstrom

Nick Edström: Nick Edström joined Mercator Media as editor of the Motorship in December 2018. Nick is excited to join Mercator Media during a period of technological change in the shipping market, and expects his background in sustainability and digitalization to help him settle into his role. Nick recently completed an MSc at UCL in Sustainable Resources, which had a focus on innovation and environmental regulation. Prior to that, Nick covered seaborne trade flows of iron making raw materials and finished steel in his last two roles working from London and East Asia.

Nick gained a first class degree in modern languages from Kings College London “many moons ago”. He is married with two young children.

    Sadly, the March/April issue was the last issue of The Motorship that I will have the pleasure of editing. After just over five years, one pandemic and one of the most sustained periods of technological change in the industry since the Industrial Revolution, it is time for someone else to take over the reins. My successor at Mercator Media will be announced in April.
