NewsCrowley targets onboard pilot trial of OCCS system in 2024
Crowley has announced plans to collaborate with Carbon Ridge Inc., a US-based developer of carbon capture solutions, to install its first onboard carbon capture and storage solutions (OCCS) unit aboard one of its vessels in 2024. DNV awarded two Approval in Principle (AiP) certificates to Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. (DSIC) at the Marintec China exhibition in Shanghai on 5 December. The first AiP relates to the concept design of a 50,000 cbm floating liquefied CO2 (LCO2) storage and injection unit (FSIU), while the second related to the concept design of a 20,000 cbm LCO2 carrier.
