Comsat Mobile Communications has launched new enhancements for its Innarsat-C service and equipment as part of what it calls Simply Easy Comsat-CTM. The company says it includes a new Web interface, simplified billing and improved customer resource materials. Comsat says the new service makes it easier for fixed users to access the service and that its new split and departmental billing features simplify the cost tracking process. The company has also developed new resource materials detailing its messaging and billing applications for customers seeking new data and messaging solutions for their -C equipment. The terminals can send and receive data files and reports of up to 32k. Designed for short messaging requirements, data messages can be transmitted by mobile terminals and fixed data communications devices such as PCs, fax and telex machines. Applications include e-mail access via the Internet, telex and fax messaging.
