The Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Services (OHSAS) certificate attests to EBH Namibia’s meeting international quality and safety standards, and will enable the yard to operate on a par with leading international repair specialists.

EBH Namibia received the certificate in December, having completed a gap analysis to its practices to OHSAS standards. The analysis was followed by intensive training, internal auditing processes and ongoing management reviews.

Tim Kolisi, QHSSE (quality, health, safety, security and environment) manager at EBH Namibia, said: “The benefits of a safe and healthy work environment result in a better customer offering overall. OHSAS 18001 boosts a company’s brand reputation and enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty.”
