    WINGD X82DF PASSES TYPE APPROVAL TEST

    Winterthur-based engine designer WinGD announced that its X82DF-1.0 had passed type approval and factory acceptance tests at licensee CSE-QMD in Qingdao, China in April. The engine will be installed on a 318,000dwt very large crude carrier (VLCC), which is under construction at Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) in China.
