First Damen air lubrication retrofit contract agreed
Estonian-based shipping company Amisco has placed the first commercial order for Damen’s new air lubrication system, DACS. Hapag-Lloyd and Seaspan ink 15+45 MeOH retrofit deal
Seaspan Corporation (Seaspan), the containership owner and manager, in collaboration with Hapag-Lloyd, have signed a Conversion Commitment Agreement with MAN PrimeServ. The deal covers the retrofit of the main engines aboard 15 container vessels equipped with MAN B&W S90-type main engines to dual-fuel MAN B&W ME-LGIM types capable of operation on green methanol. The Agreement includes 45 optional engine retrofit solutions.
