Digital sound tool for engine anomaly detection

NYK (Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha) has announced that it has developed a digital diagnostic tool to analyse the operational sound of a vessel’s engines together with MTI Co., Ltd. (MTI) and Nabtesco Corporation (Nabtesco). 

The tool, Kirari MUSE, can compare operational sounds from plants as data and use it to diagnose ship-equipment conditions, contributing to the effectiveness of predictive maintenance solutions.
