DNV to collaborate with SHI on Remote Operation Centre for autonomous ships project
Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) and DNV have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at KORMARINE in Korea, committing to establishing SHI’s state-of-the-art Remote Operation Centre (ROC) for real-time monitoring and control of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS).
The joint venture seeks to develop a Remote Operation Centre (ROC) for MASS, advance the future of autonomous shipping by harnessing cutting-edge technology, including the Internet of Things (IoT) and cybersecurity platforms, and ensure safe and smooth operations.
