Keppel FELS in Singapore is obviously vying for the title of the world’s busiest shipyard, having secured yet another orders for a KFELS B class jack-up rig.

Jasper Investments has exercised an option, part of an order placed with Keppel FELS in December 2010, to build a second rig at a cost of $180 million for delivery in 2013.

Keppel says that the new order will be similar to Jasper’s first jackup rig, able to operate in water depths of 400ft, drill 30,000ft deep and with accommodation for 150.
