Research Engineer, LEC GmbH

DI Peter Ranacher is working on his dissertation on greenhouse gases and their mitigation with a focus on carbon capture at LEC GmbH in Graz.
He has studied on the TU Graz and obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Technical Physics. He then began his career at AVL Graz, where was responsible for developing physical-chemical models of exhaust aftertreatment systems for passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks. He is currently employed at LEC GmbH, working on the theoretical and simulation-based investigation of various CO2 separation technologies for complex energy and propulsion systems. In addition, he models and simulates process chains for CO2 separation in combustion-based energy systems and conducts techno-economic analyses.
