Diego Pauluzzi leads technology and innovation initiatives across Italy and Monaco, driving advanced maritime solutions supporting decarbonization and digitalization. He oversees Approval in Principle, Joint Industry Projects, and Joint Development Projects, focusing on alternative fuels, hybrid propulsion, energy efficiency, and emerging technologies, including nuclear applications.

He contributes to feasibility studies, risk analyses, and validation of innovative ship designs in line with Class rules and regulatory frameworks (IMO, EU ETS, FuelEU Maritime). With a degree in Naval Architecture and prior experience at Wärtsilä, he brings strong expertise in integrated energy solutions.

Beyond his professional role, he collaborates with the University of Trieste, delivering the “Special Ships” course within the Naval Architecture faculty, with particular emphasis on advanced propulsion concepts, including nuclear. He also engages with other universities through lectures and seminars on emissions, sustainability, and next-generation maritime technologies, actively contributing to the development of future industry professionals.
