Thomas Bayer is a Japan-based fuel cell specialist with over 17 years of experience in fuel cell and hydrogen technology, ranging from material up to system level.
In his global role at Lloyd’s Register as ‘Lead Specialist - Fuel Cell Technology’, he provides fuel cell expertise and support to Lloyd’s Register’s technical support offices in Europe, Asia and the Americas. He is also responsible for fuel cell rule development, internal and external training, and acts as point of contact and external representation for fuel cell technology.
He is also appointed as visiting assistant professor at Kyushu University, a leading fuel cell research hub in Japan, where he is supporting cutting-edge research and education.
