Evangelos Fragkoulis

Evangelos Fragkoulis is the Head of Ship Design & Technology at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, where he leads the development of innovative ship designs aimed at reducing the maritime industry’s carbon footprint.

With a strong background in naval architecture and marine engineering, Fragkoulis focuses on integrating sustainable technologies and alternative fuels into new concept vessel designs as well as retrofitting existing fleet, while at the same time understanding the role of Technology to the green transition.

Before joining the Center, he held senior roles at leading maritime organisations, where he contributed to pioneering advancements in ship efficiency, environmental performance, fleet technology, fleet management, newbuilding activities as well as fleet renewal planning.

His work is central to driving the global transition toward zero-emission shipping and sustainable maritime operations.
