R&D Manager, Deltamarin
Mia Elg brings over 18 years of expertise in ship energy efficiency and marine machinery design. As the R&D Manager at Deltamarin, she leads the development of innovative products and services, oversees large-scale joint industry projects, and provides strategic consulting to clients.
Her core competencies include thermal engineering, energy and environmental service productisation, energy balance calculations, energy flow simulations, and environmental impact assessments. Mia has also spearheaded the development of zero-emission ship machinery across multiple pioneering projects.
She holds an academic background in thermodynamics and recently completed her doctoral studies at Aalto University, which have been performed over a decade at the side of her work. Her dissertation, titled “Modelling, Analysing and Optimising Ship Energy Systems”, reflects her deep commitment to advancing sustainable maritime technologies.
