LR approves new LCO2 carrier

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Capital Gas Ship Management have secured approval in principle from Lloyd’s Register for the design of a 40,000cbm liquefied CO2 carrier

The joint development project established the operational profile of LCO2 carriers along with their design suitability and feasibility.

LR’s role during the project was to assess the vessel’s operational profile using its risk-based certification (RBC-1) process.
