Maersk deploys Nokia wireless networks

Nokia has signed a major contract with Maersk to deploy its private wireless network solutions across 450 vessels as part of Maersk’s OneWireless IoT connectivity platform

The move marks a significant upgrade in maritime connectivity, enabling Maersk to overcome the limitations of its current onboard infrastructure.

The new mobile network integrates Nokia’s radio portfolio, including Shikra Remote Radio Heads, compact basebands and custom antennas.
